Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-08-02.

1. The agreement

These terms govern your use of the ForgeGo mobile app, published by devXY. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you obtained ForgeGo through the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and these terms take precedence where the two differ, to the extent Apple permits.

2. What ForgeGo is

ForgeGo is a client for Forgejo servers. It is not a hosting service. You supply the server and the credentials, and the app displays and edits the data on that server on your behalf.

3. Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the Forgejo servers you connect to and for complying with their terms.
  • You are responsible for the personal access tokens you create, for scoping them appropriately, and for revoking them when a device is lost or a server is removed.
  • You must not use ForgeGo to break the law or to access a server you are not authorised to access.

4. ForgeGo Pro subscription

ForgeGo Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks unified mode across servers, background notifications, unlimited favourites, and unlimited recent searches.

  • The price, the billing period, and the free-trial terms, if any, are shown in the app before you purchase, and payment is charged to your App Store or Play Store account on confirmation.
  • The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store or Play Store account settings. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by devXY.

5. Availability and changes

ForgeGo is provided as it is. Features may change between releases, and compatibility with a given Forgejo version is described in the app documentation. We may discontinue the app, in which case existing subscriptions will be allowed to lapse rather than being renewed.

6. No warranty and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, ForgeGo is provided without warranty of any kind, and devXY is not liable for loss of data, loss of profit, or any indirect or consequential damage arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

7. Third-party software

ForgeGo includes open-source components under their respective licences. The full list is available in the app under About and Legal, then Open-source licenses.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the publisher’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
